The work ‘Your Face Is Bangin’ is described by the Artist as: “There are moments, in pain and in
pleasure, when we may shed everything we think we know in exchange for the unknown. There,
even at our dirtiest, our most monstrous, we are briefly pure. We seek this fleeting freedom, and its
afterglow, before we return to being known. What does it take to let go?
Erdrich lives and works in New York, NY and has been awarded residencies at the Jentel Foundation, Burren College of Art, Santa Fe Art Institute, thrice at Art Farm Nebraska, Sculpture Space and the Vermont Studio Center. She holds an MFA from the Burren College of Art at the National University of Ireland, a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and a BA from the University of Pennsylvania.
